Biography
Lana Monteiro is the Regional Finance and Operations Director for Latin America at The Nature Conservancy (TNC). In this role, she leads a team of finance and operations professionals across Latin America to reduce financial risks; ensure the organization has the adequate operational capacity to run the business complying with TNC policies, procedures and local laws; and ensure there is adequate information and analysis to make sound business decisions.
Lana also works with other TNC professionals in Legal, Human Resources, IT and the Worldwide Finance and Operations Departments to ensure global initiatives are implemented effectively in Latin America.
Before TNC, Lana served as senior planning manager for Brazil and financial planning manager for Latin America for the Walt Disney Company. Previously, she worked in other global companies, such as British American Tobacco and Praxair, in finance planning, in capital planning and in pricing strategy.
Lana holds an MBA from Pontificia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro and a BA in economics from Rio de Janeiro State University.
A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Lana enjoys staying with her family (including two beautiful cats!), yoga and fitness activities in her free time.
