Biography

Judith Ament is a quantitative ecologist specializing in natural climate solutions, geospatial analysis, and carbon accounting. She has worked across the conservation and sustainability sectors, applying data, remote sensing, and quantitative methods to understand how protecting, managing, and restoring natural lands can help address climate change.

Before joining The Nature Conservancy, Judith worked at WWF, where she was technical lead for Forest Foresight, an early-warning system that uses satellite data and predictive modelling to help identify areas at risk of deforestation. Her career has spanned conservation, sustainability, and environmental data, with projects in Africa, Asia, North and South America.

At The Nature Conservancy, Judith provides scientific and technical leadership on forest natural climate solutions, helping translate emerging science and data into practical approaches for conservation.
