Harry Hagey is the retired Chief Executive Officer and Board Chair of the San Francisco investment firm Dodge & Cox. He served the firm for over 39 years after completing his MBA degree at Northwestern University. Mr. Hagey was a Governor of the Investment Counsel Association of America (ICAA) Board. He has also served on the boards of St. Luke's Hospital, the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, and the highly respected scientific and educational institution – California Academy of Sciences.
Harry and his wife Shirley, a Trustee of TNC's Idaho Chapter, have restored several miles of spring creeks on their ranch near Bellevue, Idaho, providing much needed habitat for native fish, birds, and mammals. They have placed the project under a conservation easement with The Nature Conservancy. As founding partners, they worked tirelessly to launch Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP) in 2010. Harry currently serves on the SNAPP Board and they both continue to foster its mission. Harry and Shirley also serve on The Nature Conservancy’s North American Advisory Group.
