Harry Hagey is the retired Chief Executive Officer and Board Chair of the San Francisco investment firm Dodge & Cox, one of the largest independently owned firms that focuses on providing U.S., global, and international equity; fixed income; and balanced account management, where he served 39 years.
Harry and his wife Shirley, a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Idaho Chapter, have restored several miles of spring creeks on their ranch near Bellevue, Idaho, providing much-needed habitat for native fish, birds, and mammals. They have placed the project under a conservation easement with TNC. As founding partners, they worked tirelessly to launch Science for Nature and People Partnership (SNAPP) in 2010. Harry currently serves on the SNAPP Board and continues to foster its mission. Harry and Shirley also serve on TNC’s North American Advisory Group. Additionally, Harry is a member of TNC’s Global Board as well as TNC's Investment Committee.
Previously, Mr. Hagey was a Governor of the Investment Counsel Association of America (ICAA) Board. He has also served on the boards of St. Luke's Hospital, the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, and the highly respected scientific and educational institution—California Academy of Sciences.
