Biography
Diana Fontaine is the climate program manager for The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island. In this role, she works with coalition partners to advocate for clean energy, conservation and climate resilience policy solutions at the Rhode Island State House.
Diana brings a unique combination of science and policy experience to this role, having spent a decade developing a strong foundation in marine science and serving in the U.S. House of Representatives as a 2025 NOAA Knauss Marine Policy Fellow. She is excited to apply her ocean knowledge to expand TNC's coastal policy work across the Ocean State.
Diana earned a B.A. in marine science from the University of San Diego and a Ph.D. in oceanography from the University of Rhode Island. In her free time, Diana enjoys throwing pottery, spending time in nature and perusing Rhode Island’s farmer’s markets.
