Biography
Alexandra (Alix) Murdoch, Esq is the Senior Policy Advisor for Natural Climate Solutions at The Nature Conservancy, where she works with colleagues, elected officials, and partner agencies and organizations to develop, advance and implement natural and working land policies to mitigate climate change in the U.S. Prior to this role, Alix served in leadership positions at American Forests and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where she led federal policy and government relations efforts and was responsible for a wide portfolio of climate, conservation and environmental policy areas, including forestry, agriculture, green infrastructure, coastal and estuarine restoration, and water quality. Recently, she played a lead role in the development of the bipartisan REPLANT Act, which was signed into law in 2021.
Alix holds an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and a law degree from Catholic University, Columbus School of Law, where she also earned a Certificate in Federal Policy. She is admitted to the bar in Maryland.
