Defending Public Lands (1:01) Right now, the public lands we love most are at risk. From national forests to wildlife refuges, the places where we fish, camp and hike could be lost to us forever. But here’s the truth: when people speak up, nature has a chance. Join us and take action to keep public lands in public hands.

Protect America's Public Lands

Right now, some elected leaders are making attempts to harm our public lands. Everything from national parks to wildlife refuges are at risk of being lost to us forever.

That's one third of the country. Millions of acres of wonder, traditions, and habitats are at risk of being sold, transferred, and defunded. These are the places where we learn to love nature.

But it's not too late. Together, we can protect what belongs to all of us.

Join The Nature Conservancy in asking Congress to keep public lands in public hands.
