Biography
Anita brings The Nature Conservancy thirty years of experience in helping organizations to succeed. She is now dedicated to raising funds for conservation projects in India. From 2004 to 2016, Anita worked for Western Resource Advocates where she was Vice President of Development, Marketing, and Program Administration. Before that, she worked at Environmental Defense Fund where she managed fundraising efforts in a seven-state region. She started her non-profit career at Conservation International in Washington, D.C. in 1990.
Anita earned a B.A. from American University with a double major in literature and American studies. She is a Certified Fund-Raising Executive, having secured an internationally recognized professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. She has also completed a certificate program in authentic leadership at Naropa University.
She joined The Nature Conservancy in 2017 and works from her home office in Boulder, Colorado when she’s not able to be in India.
