Rainforest movie: Osa Peninsula, Costa RicaJutting out into the Pacific off of Costa Rica's western coast, this remote paradise harbors a diversity of habitats and biological richness found nowhere else on Earth. Isolated and in many ways inaccessible, the Peninsula remains largely undeveloped today. The Osa Peninsula's lowland tropical forest and white-sand beaches are home to jaguars and puma, howler monkeys and anteaters while its offshore waters hold migrating humpback whales and sea turtles. In 1975, The Nature Conservancy helped create Corcovado National Park which protects one-third of the Osa Peninsula.
