Brief Biography

Tackling two critical roles for the Conservancy, Kristen oversees all aspects of fundraising in Texas, including planned giving and international fundraising, while also managing finances and human resources for the chapter. Prior to joining the Conservancy, she worked for a decade in city management with the city of Austin, including as chief of staff to the city manager, and before that as director of public affairs for the public relations firm of Tate Austin. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Bentley University and her Masters of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She and her husband, John, live in Austin with their twins, Jack and Eleanor.
