Conservation and being good stewards of the land are deeply embedded in the values of Scouting. Because Scouting's youth generally have an active interest in the outdoors, they possess a ready curiosity that will be reinforced by opportunities to grow.
Personal experience teaches the most lasting lessons, and volunteering to support The Nature Conservancy’s work in restoring Pennsylvania's natural heritage is a great way to learn while giving back to the community.
We are looking for Boy and/or Girl Scout Troops as well as other groups interested in projects that will help the environment while providing educational opportunities in conservation management.
For a current list of projects in need of Scout support, please contact Molly Anderson at molly_anderson@tnc.org or (717) 232-6001, ext 117.
