Protecting the Granite State

Ensuring New Hampshire's natural heritage and rich landscapes remain healthy for future generations.

From 1961 to Today

In 1961, a small group of conservation-minded individuals approached The Nature Conservancy to assist them in protecting over 400 acres on Lake Nubanusit in southwest New Hampshire. A half century later, the Conservancy has helped to protect over 270,000 acres of private and public land across the Granite State.

Today, more than 7,000 dedicated supporters make up the New Hampshire Chapter of the Conservancy, and you are the key to our conservation success. Thank you.
