At the base of the rolling Aspen Mountains, less than five miles outside of Soda Springs, this 195-acre preserve supports a series of remarkable geological formations surrounding magnificent terraced mineral pools and an underground cave. It is a refuge for waterfowl, deer, elk and several rare plant communities.
Hiking, wildlife viewing, caving.
Facilities: This is not a staffed preserve. Undeveloped trails and seasonal outhouse available for visitors.

From Highway 30 in Soda Springs, take Highway 34 north, follow until the Kerr McGee plant is on the right. Once past the plant, take a right at Trail Canyon Road. Drive one mile and turn left at the fenced driveway. There are inconspicuous signs. Go one mile and turn left at the fenced driveway.
