Great Bay at sunset. Great Bay is a remarkable and deeply recessed estuary in New Hampshire and a top conservation priority for The Nature Conservancy. It harbors several rare and endangered species, including birds, fish, plants and invertebrates. It is fed by several large rivers and is flushed by the tides approximately every seven days.
