Agricultural workers carry a baskets made of bamboo used to harvest produce and carry it to market in Yunnan Province, China. Sustainable economic development efforts like bamboo harvesting and ecotourism preserve Yunnan?s diverse natural resources, supply communities with income and help restore the balance between people and nature. The Conservancy is working with the Chinese government to increase protection of Yunnan?s natural areas by establishing a system of national parks.
