Mink River Preserve | Show Directions


Take Hwy 42 to Ellison Bay, WI. In Ellison Bay turn left (north) off the Hwy onto Garrett Bay Road. Go 2.46 miles on Garrett Bay Road to North Badger Road. Turn right (south) onto North Badger Road and drive .17 miles to Garrett Bay Bluff Court. Turn left (east) onto Garrett Bay Bluff Court and drive .19 miles to the point where the hike will begin.

Join us for walk at Mink River Preserve to see a new acquisition on the Niagara Escarpment that features a moist cliff and northern forest habitat. This acquisition expanded the preserve so that it now extends from the marshes of the Mink River Estuary on Lake Michigan to the Niagara Escarpment on the Green Bay side of the Door Peninsula.

Difficulty Level: Moderate. This is a 1.5-mile hike with a few steep ascents and descents.

What to wear/bring: We suggest wearing sturdy, closed-toe footwear that can get wet. Wear long pants and bring a hat, drinking water, insect repellent and rain gear (if rain is forecast). You may want to bring binoculars and camera if you have them.
