Warbler Walk with the Bird Diva
May 20, 2017
From Whitehall, NY, take Route 4 east; from Rutland, VT, take Route 4 west. Then from Route 4, just east of Whitehall village, turn north onto Route 9A across from the Bittersweet Plaza. After about one mile, turn left onto Route 9 at the T intersection. Take the first right onto Route 10 (Doig Street). Then turn left onto the dirt road (the paved road curves right). Cross the bridge and turn left. The Tim's Trail parking area is 0.7 miles down the dirt road on the right. The Susan Bacher Memorial Trail parking area is another mile down the road on the right.
For the third year in a row, the Bird Diva is heading back to the Helen W. Buckner Preserve in southern Vermont for The Nature Conservancy!
While the Helen W. Buckner Preserve is well know for it's Peregrine Falcon sightings, it's also host to an incredible suite of warblers and other songbirds. Join us as we look for warblers like the Prairie Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler and show-stoppers like the Golden-winged Warbler which is the focus of current regional conservation efforts. With 20+ warbler species documented for the site, we're sure to get our fill at the peak of spring migration.
Space is limited to 12 participants. REGISTER ONLINE
