About Us

Working across the entire state, The Nature Conservancy has protected more than 300,000 acres of special places in Tennessee. In addition, we are addressing significant issues to protect the water quality of streams and rivers across Tennessee.

Along the way, the Conservancy has helped create or significantly expand 29 State Natural Areas, 12 State Wildlife Management Areas and 2 National Wildlife Refuges for people and nature. Learn more about Places We Protect in Tennessee.
