Follow Alicia Heyburn, a Maine resident and Conservancy intern acting as a World Fish Migration Day ambassador, as she cycles along the iconic Rhine River from its source to the sea. is a global celebration to build awareness for the importance of open rivers and migratory fish. Along Alicia’s journey, she’ll discover what the river means to the people who live here and meet with river restoration professionals to tell their stories about their important work and encourage participation in this bi-annual event. April 21, 2018 is the next World Fish Migration Day, and The Nature Conservancy is a key supporter so that organizations around the world can host events connecting fish, rivers and people.
