Volunteer Docent Training

Cypress Island Preserve

Our volunteer docents know that some of the best birding can be found just outside the Visitor Center.

Not only do our Docents know a lot about natural history, but they're great photographers too!

The levee trail at Cypress Island Preserve is a favorite of both visitors and volunteers.

The first 100 yards of the levee trail offers great opportunities to see myriad songbirds.

Seth Blitch, Louisiana's Coastal Program Director, shares the story of the Conservancy's work across Louisiana.

Kacy King, Cypress Island Preserve Manager, entertains our volunteers with anecdotes and useful information about Cypress Island Preserve.
