Florida voters decide on a solar future for the sunshine state.

Tallahassee, FL | August 31, 2016

The Nature Conservancy thanks Florida voters for approving Amendment 4, the solar tax abatement amendment. We are grateful to the sponsors of this measure, State Senator Jeff Brandes, Representative Ray Rodrigues, and Representative Lori Berman, for their leadership in advancing clean energy in Florida.

“The strong support of Amendment 4 shows how we all can work together to increase renewable energy options for Florida's environment and economy,” said Temperince Morgan, Executive Director, The Nature Conservancy in Florida, noting the broad bipartisan coalition of small and large businesses, local governments, legislators, environmental and community groups who supported the amendment.
