Dogfish Dash Does Good

The 10th annual Dogfish Dash is in the books, with close to 2,500 runners and spectators from around the country, 150 volunteers and $120,000 raised for The Nature Conservancy in Delaware! Special thanks to Sam and Mariah Calagione, Mark Carter, staff of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and the dedicated volunteers of Chesapeake Utilities and many others who made the event possible.

The Dogfish Dash is a slightly off-centered road race that starts and finishes at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton. In addition to the chip-timed race, the Dash includes tasty morsels, live entertainment and Dogfish Head beer. There is also a costume contest with awards for the best “recycled” costume (individual and team).

Since 2007 the Dogfish Dash has generated more than $300,000 for the Delaware Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.

  • 2015 - $120,000
  • 2014 - $75,000
  • 2013 - $51,600
  • 2012 - $38,500
  • 2011 - $33,500
  • 2010 - $26,000
  • 2009 - $25,000
  • 2008 - $20,000
  • 2007 - $10,000

The Nature Conservancy’s Delaware Chapter is grateful for this enduring partnership with the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, a company that appreciates Delaware's natural landscapes which, when healthy, produce clean water and healthy soils for the ingredients going into their products. We are eternally grateful that this forward-thinking and environmentally-conscious Delaware-based company has generously dedicated proceeds from the annual Dogfish Dash to The Nature Conservancy’s Delaware Chapter for the past seven years!

The 11th annual Dogfish Dash takes place Sunday, September 26, 2016. Registration for the race fills up quick. Stay tuned for more information and consider lending your support as a volunteer.
