New State Director: Roger W. Mangham

The Nature Conservancy in Alabama is pleased to welcome Roger W. Mangham as State Director.

A member of The Nature Conservancy family for over fifteen years, Roger has a diverse conservation background and has served in leadership roles abroad and in the continental United States. Roger joined the Texas Chapter in 2001 as the North Texas Projects Director and took on the role as Director of Conservation for the Arkansas Chapter in 2006. Roger has also helped the Mexico and Zambia programs connect people to nature and reduce environmental threats.

The selection of Roger Mangham caps a comprehensive search process from a deep pool of interested and highly qualified candidates. Roger was named Alabama State Director in March 2016 with his first day at the helm April 11, 2016.

“I am truly honored to join this team as State Director. It is an exciting time for our chapter as we grow and respond to our core mission: to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. What I love about our mission is that it speaks directly to the people of Alabama. I look forward to finding practical solutions to our state’s most pressing conservation issues,” said State Director Roger W. Mangham. An avid outdoorsmen, Roger and his wife, Jenny, have three children: Isabelle,Teddy and Cooper.
