Covering more than a third of the world’s surface, the Asia Pacific region is home to some of the planet’s most unique ecosystems and endangered wildlife. However, a warming climate, a growing population and our need for natural resources are threatening nature as never before.
Support Our Work
As the fastest growing region in the world, Asia Pacific includes more than half of the world’s 7 billion people, seven of its 10 largest cities and five of its largest economies. As the region’s economies expand, increased urbanization, consumption and a rising demand for food, water, housing and energy are placing enormous pressure on the region’s unique natural assets. But with this rapid growth comes an extraordinary opportunity: to build a more sustainable future where nature and people flourish together.
