Frequently Asked Questions

How do I give a gift to someone else?

We have several options for gifts that you can give for someone else.

  1. Give a Gift Membership:
Your friend will receive a full year's membership in The Nature Conservancy, including our award-winning magazine and updates on projects in her area.
    • You can also make gift memberships of our Adopt an Acre® and Adopt a Coral Reef programs. Your friend will receive a year's membership in addition to a fact sheet about the project and a personalized certificate in his name.
  2. Give an Honorary gift:
You can make a one-time tribute donation in honor of someone's special occasion, and we will send an announcement that you have made the gift on her behalf. We do not yet have this feature available online, but we can take those donations by phone or by mail:
    The Nature Conservancy
    Attn: Treasury
    4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100
    Arlington, VA 22203-1606

  3. Give a Memorial gift:
If you make a donation in memory of someone who has passed away, we can send an announcement to the friends or family members. Again, while we do not have this feature available online yet, we can take your donation by phone or mail. Please include the name (and, if possible, address) of the person who has passed away, as well as the name and address of those you would like us to notify.
