The Nature Conservancy (TNC) recently welcomed John M. Erb to its Michigan Board of Trustees.
“We’re thrilled to have John Erb join our board,” said Helen Taylor, TNC’s state director for Michigan. “John has a personal and professional appreciation for our forests, plus a long-time history of philanthropic leadership in Michigan.”

“I’ve been an admirer, fan and supporter of The Nature Conservancy for quite a long time,” Erb said. “I’m proud and honored to serve in this leadership role.”
Erb began working at Erb Lumber as a stock boy at the age of 12 and progressed through all aspects of the business over his 38 years with the company, rising to the position of vice president of retail operations.
