Have an eye for detail? Join TNC Washington for a volunteer opportunity to assist with a research project by sorting seeds from TNC’s Ellsworth Preserve in southwestern Washington, learn more TNC Washington’s science work, and connect with other volunteers and TNC staff.
This event will take place indoors at the TNC office in Belltown and is open to new and existing volunteers with an interest in sorting teeny tiny tree seeds and getting more involved with The Nature Conservancy. All supplies and training will be provided - you do not need to be a botanist or plant expert to participate!
Snacks and beverages will be provided. This event is suitable for volunteers 12 & up, who have attention to detail, a desire to learn, and would enjoy spending an hour or two looking at small seeds and chatting with other TNC volunteers. All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
This event has limited spots and requires registering to attend.
Accessibility: The TNC office is wheelchair accessible and offers gender inclusive restrooms. If you have accessibility questions or would like to request additional accommodations, please email wavolunteer@tnc.org
There is metered street parking in the area. If possible, prioritize taking public transit. Participants can store bikes inside at the TNC office.
