Volunteer Event at Ives Road Fen
Michigan
Volunteer Overview
Help us protect this natural area by joining us for an educational volunteer event at our Ives Road Fen Preserve collecting and sorting native plant seeds.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about the importance of prairie fen ecosystems.
- Identify native plant species.
- Help collect native seeds.
- Learn how seeds are processed and sorted for future plantings.
Please register in advance so we know how many people to expect. We recommend wearing waterproof boots with ankle support and bringing a refillable water bottle along with sun and bug protection.
