Volunteer Overview

Join Portland Parks & Recreation and The Nature Conservancy for a volunteer opportunity enhancing the Tideman Johnson Natural Area. The property was donated to the City of Portland in 1940 for recreational purposes for local residents. Ecological enhancement of this area provides cleaner air for community members and cleaner water in Johnson Creek, which supports salmon and other aquatic animals.

Volunteers will be picking up trash and planting native shrubs and ferns. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
