Volunteer Overview

Platte River Prairies Volunteers Make a Difference!

Spend a Saturday morning with like-minded prairie enthusiasts, and keep these grasslands healthy and full of life. Platte River Prairies offers a variety of ways you can help protect and maintain this important habitat, including trail maintenance, invasive species management, seed collection and more.

RSVP to Steve Schafer at steven.schafer@tnc.org. An email confirmation will be sent 7-10 days before each event. Last-minute cancellations because of weather or circumstances will be sent by email and phone calls to everyone who registered for that particular day. All workdays are Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

If you arrive late and no one is there, please call 402-310-1503. Bring sturdy shoes, a hat, a water bottle and work clothes. Sunscreen would be a good idea!
