Big Darby Headwaters Nature Preserve Workdays
Ohio
Help us protect Ohio's natural areas by joining us at a volunteer event at Big Darby Headwaters Nature Preserve this year. The success of our program relies on the support of volunteers, and with your help we can accomplish so much more than we could alone.
Invasive Plant Removal
Invasive plants are one of the greatest threats to our conservation mission because they can displace native plants, degrade wildlife habitat and increase erosion and siltation in streams. Volunteers will help remove these plants to ensure native plant communities and wildlife can thrive. This event is suitable for ages 8 and up. No pesticides will be used.
Event Date
Saturday, May 11 (10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
Volunteers should come prepared with sturdy hiking boots and durable pants for off-trail areas with thorny plants. To RSVP or receive additional event details, email ohvolunteer@tnc.org and include the event date and location in the subject line to reserve your spot in this family-friendly event.
