Volunteer Overview

Join The Nature Conservancy, Friends of the Kaw, the City of Lawrence, and The Merc Co-op for the annual riverbank cleanup in Lawrence!

We’ll meet in the city parking lot on the southeast corner of N. 2nd and Locust St. We’ll divide into teams and clean the riverbank below Bowersock Dam. We will not clean near any houseless camp areas.

Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Bring gloves and water to drink—The Merc will provide snacks! RSVP here.
