Volunteer Overview

Spend a fall morning in the woods! Visit Hitz-Rhodehamel Woods in Brown County on Saturday, September 7 and assist land Steward Jesse Moore with removing overgrowth from the trail. Volunteers will use hand tools to cut back branches, remove leaves, and conduct other light maintenance tasks to help keep the trail in tip-top shape for all visitors through the autumn hiking season.

No experience needed, and youth ages 10+ are welcome to attend with parents. Come prepared with close-toed walking shoes and ready to walk on a moderately challenging 3-mile trail with some elevation changes. There will be some moderate physical activity including bending, so bring some water!
