Take a visit to Cedar Bluffs Nature Preserve this spring for a Weed Wrangle!
On Saturday, April 26, join TNC's Peter Bauson and our partners at Monroe County-IRIS with the removal of garlic mustard and lesser celandine poppy from the property.
Volunteers will be taught about invasive plants, how to identify the focus species and how to remove them. Invasive plants outcompete our native wildflowers and reduce habitat and food sources for wildlife. Removing invasives allows forests to regenerate ecosystems that benefit native pollinators, insects, birds and more.
The terrain here is moderate to challenging, and after the work is done, Peter will guide those interested to the top of the bluff.
