Volunteer Overview

Join TNC on Saturday, October 28, at Mosquito Creek Glade in Harrison County. TNC's Ryan Goetz will be removing invasive shrubs from this amazing preserve.

Invasive species pose a significant threat to this ecosystem and many other natural areas in Indiana. Out-competing native species, invasives reduce biodiversity and reduce habitat for Indiana’s native insects, birds and other animals.

Come be a part of the solution at this family-friendly Weed Wrangle.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome as this is a great service activity for Scouts and kids wanting to give back to their local natural areas!

All supplies and instructions are provided, as is bottled water and granola bars. Please come prepared with drinking water, closed-toed working shoes, and weather-appropriate layers.
