Volunteer Overview

The Nature Conservancy's central Minnesota team invites you to volunteer at Helen Allison Savanna. Join us as we work to enhance this oak savanna, a globally rare ecosystem, by helping to reduce brush and invasive species.

  • Saturday, September 23, 2023 | 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Saturday, October 14, 2023 | 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Volunteer workdays often focus on cutting and piling brush in the oak savanna habitat. Volunteers should bring or wear appropriate work clothes, sturdy shoes, water bottle, snacks/lunch, work gloves, sunglasses/safety glasses. All tools will be provided.

Parking will be along the road Durant Street NE, boarding the East side of the preserve. There is a preserve sign with a small pull-out area and vehicles can park along the road shoulder.
