Volunteer Overview

This year the Portland/Vancouver Metro Area, along with Bend, Lane County and Salem, are all participating in the 2024 City Nature Challenge!

Invented by community science staff at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe.

In addition to collecting and identifying plants and wildlife, The Nature Conservancy will also be hosting a hike at Camassia Natural Area in West Linn for participants 8 and older. Spots are limited, so sign up today!
