Wachapreague Marsh Cleanup

Virginia

* COVID precautions in place, please read below *

Volunteers are needed to help clean up the Wachapreague Marsh. Help pick up trash that has drifted into the marsh and any large pieces of peat that have been misplaced along the marsh edge.

Volunteers will meet at the Wachapreague public dock for a short boat ride to the marsh. You will be split into two groups to help maintain social distancing. Please dress in waders or clothes you don't mind getting wet and muddy. Boots are recommended.

To sign up contact Jen Dalke, volunteer program manager at jdalke@tnc.org or 540-335-1302 (c). Volunteers must read and sign our COVID field guidelines. Guidelines include having a mask readily accessible if working less than 6 feet apart, bringing hand sanitizer and confirming you have health insurance.
