Trail Maintenance at DLWA

Maine

The 46,000-acre Debsconeag Lakes Wilderness Area contains the highest concentration of pristine, remote ponds in New England, thousands of acres of mature forests, and some of the most spectacular hiking trails in the Katahdin region.

Join us as we discover and repair damage from winter storms on a popular trail. We'll also be installing water bars and other structures to help more effectively drain water from the treadway.

This is a great opportunity to visit one of the premiere outdoor destinations in Maine, learn more about local history and ecology, meet new people, and give back to nature!
