Chainsaw Volunteer Work Day

Due to the lack of fire on the landscape, many species have become overgrown, dense and prolific on the Arbuckle Plains Preserves. This excess can be harmful to wildlife and other native species. For conservation management and preparation of future prescribed burns we need to thin out this overgrowth.

Bring your chainsaws and a ton of energy to cut down and thin out trees, briar, and other overgrowth at one of the Arbuckle Plains Preserves (Pontotoc Ridge, Hottonia Bottoms or Boehler Seeps & Sandhills Preserves).

There are two work days to choose from: November 23 or December 14. Please use the links below to sign up!
