Volunteer with Us!

Help us protect the Oak Openings Region by joining us at a volunteer event at Kitty Todd Nature Preserve this year! The success of our program relies on the support of volunteers, and with your support we are able to accomplish so much more than we could alone. Join TNC staff and volunteers on Saturdays this year for volunteer stewardship events, and come see why everyone adores the Oak Openings!

Invasive Species/Brush Removal

Invasive plants are one of the greatest threats to our conservation mission because they can displace native plants, degrade wildlife habitat and increase erosion and siltation in streams. Join us at one of our weekend volunteer events to help control invasive plants at Kitty Todd!

All events will be held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Seed Collection

Native plants are critically important to the health of ecosystems. Join TNC staff and volunteers as we collect seeds that will be used to grow the next generation of native plants throughout the Oak Openings Region.
