Overview

Join us for volunteer stewardship workdays at The Nature Conservancy’s Lisha Kill Natural Area in Niskayuna. Volunteers contribute to our efforts to maintain and improve access at our public preserves. The purpose of our upcoming volunteer workdays at the Lisha Kill Natural Area is to create a new access trail at the preserve. This volunteer activity is scheduled on three different days over the next few months and you may sign up for as many days as you wish. The level of physical activity will be light to moderate. Following each workday, volunteers are welcome to enjoy a hike through the old-growth white pine and Eastern hemlock, and deep ravines with flowing streams. After you sign up, more details will be sent via email as the dates approach.

July 10, 9AM – 1PM ET: Prepare the trail area (completed!)

August 14, 9AM – 1PM ET: Build the trail

September 11, 9AM – 1PM ET: Install signage; complete finishing touches
