Nature lovers and TNC supporters Joanna Angle and Bill Altman will host a nature walk through their Cedarleaf Farm, named 2012’s South Carolina Tree Farm of the Year.
Visitors will see native warm-season grasses and a “pollinator plot,” then take a gentle walk through a mixed forest to a pond. Bill, a statewide Master Naturalist, will lead the walk and discussion, together with Master Naturalist Andrew Lazenby and TNC Upstate Conservation Director Kristen Austin.
Afterward, Joanna will gather guests for an inside look at their 1856 home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Following the tours, we will have cupcakes and sparkling wine to celebrate TNC’s 50th anniversary. The nature walk will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and the house tour will follow at 11 a.m.
