Here’s your chance to see a portion of one of Oklahoma’s last free-flowing rivers. The first leg of the hike will pause at a bluff overlooking the Blue River. The second leg will take us down to the river, and you will see the beauty of the riparian area. Be advised; there is a possibility that your feet will get wet. There is a concrete slab that crosses the river, and it usually has water overflowing it. Throughout the hike, staff will discuss current and future management actions to help protect Oka' Yanahli Preserve. Long pants recommended, suitable footwear (hiking shoes and/or amphibious footwear), lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, and insect repellant.
