Zumwalt Prairie Weekend Work Party

Register for this weekend volunteer event!

Join us for a weekend of volunteering at stunning Zumwalt Prairie Preserve in Northeastern Oregon! Volunteers will perform noxious weed surveys and removal, and the work involves extensive walking, bending and kneeling. We’ll work a full day Saturday (7/11) and a half-day Sunday (7/12). Everyone is invited to spend Friday (7/10) and/or Saturday (7/11) nights camping on the preserve. This project is best suited for adults.

Zumwalt Prairie Preserve ranges in elevation from 2,500 to 5,500 ft. and is home to a wide diversity of plants and animals. It is most noted for its diversity of nesting raptors, expansive grasslands, and spectacular views of the Wallowa and Seven Devils Mountain ranges.

Registration is required.
