Zumwalt Prairie Overnight Work Party

Explore Zumwalt Prairie Preserve.

Join us for a multi-day volunteer work party at Zumwalt Prairie Preserve in Eastern Oregon. Volunteers will perform invasive species surveys and removal, and the work involves extensive walking, bending and kneeling. We’ll work a full day Saturday and a half day Sunday. Everyone is invited to spend Friday and/or Saturday nights camping on the preserve.

Zumwalt Prairie Preserve ranges in elevation from 2,500 to 5,500 ft. and is home to a wide diversity of plants and animals. It is most noted for its diversity of nesting raptors, expansive grasslands, and spectacular views of the Wallowa and Seven Devils Mountain ranges.
