Overview

Event Overview

Join TNC's Sanketh Menon at Douglas Woods Nature Preserve in Northeastern on Saturday, May 3, to celebrate the spring migration of birds with a walk in the woods!

Each May, birds come back to Indiana from their winter homes, and Douglas Woods enjoys substantial populations of interior forest birds. You might see warblers, tanagers, vireos, woodpeckers and more on this birding walk!

Additional Details

  • The terrain is easy and we will be on a natural surface trail that is about 1.5 miles long, though we will likely not walk the entire trail.
  • Youth are welcome to attend with their parents.
  • Wear weather-appropriate layers and good walking shoes.
  • Bring a field guide and binoculars if you have them.
  • Snacks and water provided by TNC
