Overview

Join us!

The impacts of climate change are being felt around the globe and are especially pressing for the 14 million people who live in Florida’s coastal counties. Rising sea levels, storm surge, flooding and coastal erosion put people and property at risk. In partnership with local governments, TNC is protecting and restoring natural infrastructure such as marshes, mangrove stands, beaches and oyster reefs to build community resilience. Join us at Picnic Island Park, TNC’s latest demonstration project, for a tour and lunch to see firsthand how nature-based solutions can be implemented here and replicated in other coastal communities.

Additional Information: Registration for this event is $15 and includes lunch and a guided tour. In the event of severe weather, an alternate date will be scheduled.
