Event Overview

Celebrate National Moth Week at Douglas Woods!

Join TNC's Sanketh Menon and moth expert Jeanette Jaskula from Friends of the Sands for a nighttime walk and moth sheet-lighting at Douglas Woods Nature Preserve in northeastern Indiana.

The hike will be Wednesday, July 23, from 9 - 11 p.m. (Eastern).

Experience the forest come to life under the cover of night and an entirely new way to enjoy the woods.

Expect to see jack o'lantern mushrooms, fireflies and moths, and maybe we'll hear owls, too! After walking the trail, we'll check out our moth sheet and we what moth species we can discover.

We'll provide the snacks and water. Please wear good walking shoes for the hike. Please bring a water bottle and all the moth-related questions you may have!

Let us know you're coming!

Please RSVP by July 21.
