Award-Winning Creative Executive Joins The Nature Conservancy

Steinhauser Named Director of Global Marketing and Creative Content

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Nature Conservancy has hired Eric Steinhauser, an award-winning creative executive, film director and strategic storyteller for the role of Director, Global Marketing and Creative Content. In this new role, Steinhauser will drive the creative vision, editorial, strategies and storytelling of TNC across all platforms.

Steinhauser previously served in the expansive role of Executive Creative Director for J. Walter Thompson where he headed new branding efforts for Novell, Dominos, Lipton, KPMG, Kraft, Miller Genuine Draft and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 

Throughout his career, Steinhauser has created notable work for many global brands including: AT&T, Merrill Lynch, NBA Cares, Deepak Chopra, The NFL, Diageo, VH1, Unilever, MetLife, The YMCA and The Peace Corps. 

Steinhauser directed and produced the Emmy-nominated feature documentary SAVING AFRICA’S GIANTS, which followed former NBA All-Star and Chinese hero Yao Ming on his first trip to Africa to witness the catastrophic rise of elephant and rhino poaching. The film aired globally on The Animal Planet Network and on CCTV in China. 

In this new role at The Conservancy, Steinhauser will build a more focused and unified creative vision for marketing content across all platforms.

Steinhauser is a native New Yorker where he has worked as a creative director for over 20 years. Eric also is an adjunct professor at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Media, Culture and Communications and he serves as juror for the New York Wild International Film Festival.
