Grasslands Conservation Fund Guidelines

  1. Funding is restricted to projects that enhance native species through the conservation of native habitat. Funding is not to be used for the propagation or use of non-native plants or animals.
  2. Projects must be located within grasslands in eastern Wyoming as described by The Nature Conservancy (see map).
  3. Funds will be used to match Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resources Trust (WWNRT) funding at a 1:1 ratio.
  4. Projects are to be selected and administered by the Board of Directors of the WWNRT with informal input provided by The Nature Conservancy.
  5. Conservancy contributions are limited to a per-project minimum of $25,000.

Application Process
Applications for the Grasslands Conservation Fund are accepted by the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resources Trust year-around. Project grants are awarded twice annually. For more information on the application process, please visit http://wwnrt.state.wy.us/index.htm.
