Date/Time:
Saturday, May 24 at 9 a.m.

Overview:
Join us and local partners at the Conservancy’s Heart Mountain Ranch for our annual community hike up Heart Mountain. Along for the hike will be experts who can illuminate some of the lesser-known facts about the mountain’s unique geology, plant and animal life, and the management of this local landmark.

You'll also have a chance to meet Brian and Carrie Peters, a local couple who have taken the reins as managers of Heart Mountain Ranch.

Logistics:
Hikers will meet at 9 a.m. at Heart Mountain Ranch headquarters and carpool to the trailhead. We’ll split into groups according to hiker ability and interest. Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, a jacket, and a lunch. Be prepared for a fairly strenuous uphill-downhill hike of approximately 4-5 miles round-trip, or longer if you join the group that will summit Heart Mountain. Please leave your dogs at home.

Registration/Fee:
Free and open to the public. Please contact Laura Bell at (307) 587-1655 or lbell@tnc.org for more informaiton.

Location:
